Thanks to our friend Matthew (facebook page), I've just found out that Light has made a difficult decision to refund all International (no-USA) pre-orders due to uncertainty over when the powers that be would let them ship.

At this time we are making the difficult decision to refund international pre-orders due to our uncertainty about when the cameras will be certified for international shipment.

We know this is a truly disappointing development, and for that we apologize. Your deposit will be refunded via your original method of payment next week and we will contact you if we have trouble refunding your deposit. No action is required from you at this time.

We are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to ship cameras internationally by the end of 2017. Because of your early interest in the L16, you will have the first opportunity to order a camera (at your originally quoted price) when the time comes. We will update you in July with the latest information. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing this journey together in the future.

That's unfortunate and I'm sure many thousands will be disappointed, but on the other hand, their money isn't tied up any more and they will be able to get the same pricing when Light is certified to ship overseas.
